Gastronomike and I both really love hummus, and so we made a huge double-batch to have in the house for the next week or so.

I’m not really sure where this recipe came from.  One of the reasons for posting it here, however, is that the only existing copy of the recipe has looked like this for at least a year now:

Not that hummus recipes are so very difficult to come by, but we’ve become quite partial to this one.

  • 2 cloves garlic
  • 1/4 cup lemon juice
  • 1/4 cup water
  • 14 oz canned chickpeas (rinsed and drained)
  • 1/2 cup tahini
  • 1 tsp sea salt
  • paprika, to garnish

Starting with the garlic, lemon juice, and water, slowly combine everything in a blender until desired consistency is achieved.
